TOPSOCCER WINTER 2012 REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!
Once again this winter, Branford Soccer Club will be hosting TOPSoccer, a program designed to allow children and young adults with special needs to enjoy the fun, camaraderie and accomplishment of soccer.
The program is open to special needs athletes ages 4 to 20+, whether from Branford or other towns.
Beginning Monday, January 30, 2012, a 7-week clinic will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Murphy Elementary School gym in Branford. To register online, please click

Volunteers (ages 11 and up) are always welcome to help our athletes even if they can only commit to one or a few of the sessions. Volunteer hours will be tracked if needed for community service.

. Registration costs $30 including a TOPSoccer T-shirt and a trophy. Financial aid is available.
WHAT IS TOPSoccer?
US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with special needs, organized by youth soccer association volunteers. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, who has a mental or physical special need. Our goal is to enable the thousands of young athletes with special needs to become valued and successful members of the US Youth Soccer family.
The TOPSoccer Program has three major Goals:

These athletes will have FUN. "FUN" is universal and all athletes should have FUN.

These athletes will always feel good about themselves, improve self-esteem, fitness and social skills.

The athletes will have the opportunity to develop a sense of belonging to a community and learn the value of being part of a team.
Without compromising safety, the primary goal is to have TOPS players be as self reliant as possible. The overall goal is to see these athletes participate and grow in their accomplishments and have fun while they do it!

Modifications are made to the game to allow full participation and enjoyment to each player.

One-on-one assistance is usually available to those who need it from TOPSoccer Buddies.

TOPSoccer offers a recreational, leisurely approach to the game of soccer.
Soccer is the world's most popular team sport and among young people it's the fastest growing activity in the United States. Every week a child's life is touched by the camaraderie, competition, and just plain fun that soccer has to offer. Please help us make this available to ALL athletes in Branford and surrounding towns by spreading the word about the TOPSoccer program.
